Elizabeth Huebner is the founder and director of the Connecticut Center for the Alexander Technique, LLC. She has been teaching and practicing the AT for over 25 years. Her excellence as a teacher is rooted in solid technique, respect for others, and her inquisitive mind. She loves exploring new challenges, including singing, horse riding, parachute jumping, rock wall building and tango dancing. Before training in the Alexander Technique, she was a professional dancer; she performed in London, The Hague, Paris, and Minneapolis before moving to Connecticut in 1988. She maintains a private practice, conducts workshops nationally, teaches actors at the University of Connecticut and the University of Hartford.
Elizabeth spent the academic year 2009-10 living and working in Hong Kong. Every morning she learned Chinese dances and “played” TaiChi with twenty five Cantonese women. Ms Huebner taught the Alexander Technique to dance students at the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts, The Hong Kong Harp Studio and the Pok Fu Lam Public (Horse) Riding School.
